    Frequently asked questions

1 US tablespoon (tbsp) equals 15 milliliters. 1 teaspoon (tsp) is 5 milliliters. 1 US cup is 240 milliliters (8 fl oz). These are the standard measures used in American recipes.

This depends on the type of flour and how it is measured. 1 cup of all-purpose flour weighs around 120–130 g if spooned and leveled, or up to 150 g if packed. Use a kitchen scale for the most accurate results.

    Gas mark 6 corresponds to 200 °C or 392 °F. Gas marks are used in older British recipes; most American recipes use Fahrenheit directly. Gas mark 1 = 275 °F, mark 4 = 350 °F, mark 7 = 425 °F.

100 grams equals 3.527 ounces (oz). Conversely, 1 ounce is 28.35 grams. Many American recipes measure dry ingredients in ounces; a kitchen scale gives the most accurate results.
